Bottles and Caps
Starting in 2027, Parkton Bees and Honey will begin selling bottles and lids for our live bee customers. These bottles and lids are being sold at pass-through pricing, with a markup of only a few cents per bottle to cover our time and travel.
At first we are going to only be selling PET plastic jars. PET Plastic is harder and generally considered safer for food products than other softer plastics. If there is enough interest among our customers for other sizes and styles of bottle (such as glass wide-neck 1-lb bottles) we may consider selling them in the future. However, we buy the bottles in bulk, in cases of 300 or more, to keep the price down for our customers, so until we are certain there is enough interest in other sizes and styles, we are trying to keep our prices down with this limited selection.
